How I pronounce my name?
    Some random facts about me
  • I live in Minnesota, but come from warmer climates, having grown up in South India and Saudi Arabia.
  • I work in an outpatient clinic as an internal medicine doctor.
  • Deep down I always knew I wanted to be a writer, but it only surfaced in my 40s.
  • I have three wonderful children. It pains me to say this, but none of them are readers. Luckily my nieces are.
  • I love middle grade books more than any others. They’re honest.
  • I have the worst sense of direction. Like terrible. Can’t find my way out of my own house at times. Which suits me fine as an introvert.
  • I can’t do math or calculate time zones. There are stories.
  • I am a product of my parents who took many risks, as so many immigrants do, to pursue the idea of a better life for their families.
  • I am the middle of 3 girls. My older sister can get stains out of anything and my younger sister can rearrange furniture like no one else. I try to write.
